Bugfixing

This is being exhausting, but hopefully, by the end of the week the first beta will be ready, so we will publish it on Monday.

Apart from the thousands of bugs that will appear we’re very happy to reach the beta state, so finally the users will have non-volatile webs, cool.

So from now in advance, technical reports will be published, as a free software project we would like to have more developers involved in the project. The guys of TheOtherNet are thinking about ways to finance the project and then pay the developers for their work.

So so close, expecting ….

First Alpha released!!!

Well, after lines and lines of code, the first alpha is here, sorry, here.

Basic functions are implemented, such as drag and drop, resize, move text and images, dynamic automatically generated menus, new page creation, etc.

Next step is extend the backend to the cloud systems, so GrassCMS will control itself the load balance assuring the QoS.

Soon we will publish the first beta, at that stage no any account nor any data will be remove, so the pages will remain. The idea is to grown a GrassCMS user community, lets see how it goes.

Cheers.

Easy CMS

Grasscms is a project based on the idea of leave away the geek friend.

Basically is an editable web page, a “CMS”. But, nor like the rest, GrassCMS doesn’t require any kind of previous knlowledge.

The single idea is that you work directly on the page, you move the pictures with the mouse, you add or edit texts, you create new menus and then you slide them wherever you want, etc.

Other CMSs are based in a control panel in which you’re not actually seeing the final look of the page, they’re not that easy to manage without base skills in web design.

The GrassCMS project has reduced the administration to the minimum expression, to drag and drop, to move articles and pages with the mouse and to final-look direct editing.

It could be said that the grandmas could make the webpage to the grandson.

On the tech side, the CMS is being developed using the latest technologies but keeping within the standards, python, ajax, query …

By this way it’s possible create and manage a corporative portal or any other kind of portal. This is a very easy to use tool which does not renounce to the professional quality that other current CMS can offer.

Open Source, GrassCMS will be based in free licenses, so will be possible by everyone to download, distribute and contribute to the code.
